"I honestly think it was the funniest thing I have ever seen on stage, an absolute triumph from start to finish..."
Joe Riddle, Salisbury Journal

"...a skilled and talented quartet whose comic timing is nothing short of perfect."
William Stafford, Theatre Blogger

"...the most difficult role is probably that of the pianist, who is called on to participate in numerous ways, always without speech. Anna Westlake was superb, never overstepping her role but adding humour and music of equally excellent quality..."
Jane Bower, LocalSecrets.com

"...a riot of comedy and theatrical invention ... this extravagantly talented cast do the lot - brilliantly, imaginatively, exhaustingly ... Anna Westlake's Nelly, the wordless pianist, is sublime. She alternates little wisps of Debussy or Dvorak with a glorious range of body language from outraged to caustic to long-suffering ... an unashamed pleasure."
Kevin Anderson, Eastbourne Herald

"This 'Three Men' (and especially Nelly, the lovely woman) deserves, I believe, in the same way as 'One Man, Two Guvnors' and the current '39 Steps', to become a classic."
Anne Hill, British Theatre Guide

In August 2014 I began rehearsals for Original Theatre Company's re-staging of their acclaimed take on Jerome K. Jerome's well-loved British classic 'Three Men in a Boat'. My character was a new addition in this adaptation - Nelly Hancock, a local musician whose piano recital at a riverside pub is rudely interrupted by the three men, determined to tell their story...

I had a fantastically fun time with this show, which toured throughout the autumn of 2014 and spring of 2015 to regional theatres all around the UK, with excellent response from audiences and critics alike!

Keeping audiences laughing for well over a century, Jerome K Jerome's classic tale of boating misadventure has become the quintessential example of the charm and wit of Victorian England. Attempting to escape the stresses of city life, three friends - accompanied by their faithful canine companion - decide to take to the river in order to relax and rejuvenate. The holiday, however, quickly unravels and descends into chaos...

Following a hit, sell-out tour in 2012, Craig Gilbert's ingenious, acclaimed adaptation of Jerome K. Jerome's classic comedy returns to the UK stage armed with more singing, wilder adventures and sporting even brighter blazers.

Original Theatre Company take this classic tale of British misadventure and folly by the scruff of the neck. Equipped with a working pub, live piano accompaniment, some ale, music hall singing, a dog and a feast of physical comedy, settle yourself in for a night to remember.
